Good news -- just got my old computer revived! I'm going to try to transfer my stuff over, so wish me luck. Yes, I think Stossel and Carey are both on Reason TV -- haven't watched it, but we did get more than one signed photo from Drew. Used to subscribe to Reason for quite a few years, but they got a bit too corporate for my tastes. Have a great weekend!

Thanks for the ping on 'Pigs on a Plane'! My brother Ross once got a Hillary joke on David Letterman's online Top Ten List. Maybe we need something like an open-source comedy project. It would also be great to have a libertarian TV channel like "LiberTV" -- maybe we could get John Stossel and Drew Carey to come aboard. Did you catch Jerome Tuccille on Ian Punnett's (Coast to Coast) radio program last night? He wrote a book called 'Gallo Be Thy Name' about the Gallos wine empire. I have one of his books around -- he's a long-time libertarian and also wrote on Greenspan. Have a good week and keep the freedom fire lit!

But I have to admit they do it well. Constantly shifting promises to fracturing groups of supporters has worked pretty well so far but that seems to be cracking a bit.

Yeah, that is weird that I asked the question about a "what if" the roles of the US and USSR were switched and that was at a time of Ronald Reagan. I'm an "alternate history" buff so I like to ask "what ifs." Trouble is with that one, it is going from a thought experiment to reality.

Space programs, in the USSR, you had competing bureaus, Kornelev vs. Chalomei (sp) come to mind whereas in the US, you had private industry make the various parts, Rockwell made the Apollo and Space Shuttle, Grumman the Lunar Lander, McDonnell/Douglas the Mercury and Gemini capsules, Martin-Marietta the Titan and Titan II rockets and so on.
